In blockbuster Walker/WEDC news story, substitute "Christie...New Jersey"
For "Walker…Wisconsin," and Dee Hall's stunning investigative piece in today's Wisconsin State Journal about a scandalously, ultra-politicized WEDC loan would absolutely break nationally, because New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, or former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, or former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush have bigger personalities in larger media markets.
Hall's story deserves that broad coverage: it advanced the entire WEDC matter, shed light on how the Walker administration figures and insiders manipulated the WEDC and added context - - Hall had the goods in hand and was asking for comment - - to Walker's sudden decision last week to end WEDC's lending.
Great journalism by Hall.
And as I keep saying with regard to WEDC, if we had a real Attorney General...

$500,000 forgivable loan in exchange for $10,000 campaign contribution ... that's an excellent return on investment.
Mike Huebsch needs to be held accountable for this public fraud.
It's not the same thing. Christie Christie is a Dallas COWBOYS fan. Scott Walker is a PACKERS fan. If you switch CHRISTIE and NEW JERSEY into this story, Chris Christie will still be a COWBOYS fan and Scott Walker will still be a PACKERS fan.
So why did God tell Scott Walker to embezzle $500,000 to benefit a $10,000 campaign donor?
There us more to the story.
Recently Mike Huebusch was moved to another dept, the guy that pushed the loan at WEDC.
Then there is the information about the company they should have known before they made the loan :

and here is the multiple litigation, that BCI lied about

and here is a listing this is company listed as a foreign held corporation:

I think a RICO is in order!
It is apparent Walker knew about the audit before a week ago on Friday, ie moving the staffer. It was a Friday night dump, hoping no one would know. If you check out the info, it says it is from the Work Force Dev Dept, was this a ruse to take it out of WEDC and hide it. Was WHEDA being merged to hide the corruption and incompetence?
Good research. Lying on an application for grants is a crime itself, and the foreign-held angle is doubly interesting.
And do we think this guy only gave the $10K we see by himself? You think this guy might have chipped into the RGA or "social welfare" groups like Club for Growth as part of a promise related to these funds?
The more you think about it, the more it's very plausible that we may see some WEDC folks in the John Doe case, and for the same pay-for-play and money-laundering
This could very well be the smoking gun. Minahan the head of BCI along with Walker's head of the DOA, Huebusch whom Walker was attached at the hip with originally pressured WEDC for a $4.5 million loan with no collateral and they lied on the application that they weren't being sued by any clients. The loan was given for $500,000 as their was no basis to go beyond this amount. BCI soon defaulted on the loan and went out of business keeping the $500,000. Obviously our Republican Attorney General will not touch this case but if the U S Dept. of Justice were asked to investigate the corrupt and illegal practices of WEDC and Minahan was squeezed to come clean on the loan issue to avoid prison he might take Huebusch with him and the net might extend to Walker himself or at least those who work in his office. We all know that Walker controls every agency with the exception of DPI and the GAB through his office via ACT 20 which he enacted upon first taking office. We know Walker rarely leaves a paper trail and makes sure others fall on the sword for him but if a major player like Huebusch faced jail there might not be enough money in Walker's defense funds to buy his silence and he just might take others down with him rather than go it alone!
WEDC is what happens when career politicians invoke flawed strategy. Who in their right mind thinks that appointing unqualified minions to make business loans under the guise of job creation to those who made contributions would actually succeed? Walker created the mess and chaired it. Rather than own it, he is punting the steaming heap to the legislature. And this guy wants to be President?
