WI State Senate to enable road rage, domestic shootings

It won't be long now, Bucky, before you read stories with ledes like this:
A Milwaukee woman was killed last night by her husband during an argument in their home with a handgun he'd bought hours earlier...
A Waukesha man was arrested this afternoon after firing shots from a newly-purchased pistol into an apartment his ex-girlfriend had just rented with a new boyfriend...
One of two motorists who sent bullets flying across four lanes of traffic on I-94 and into several vehicles near Brookfield yesterday had just picked up his 9 mm semi-automatic weapon from a gun shop...
Preserving his political support from the NRA, Walker has said he will sign the bill when it clears the State Assembly.

This is absolutely ridiculous that we have to legislate ways for people to get their hands on guns sooner. Mayor Barrett was correct that Walker worshiped at the alter of the NRA as people within his own state were being assassinated by those with guns. We've had school children murdered in their classrooms but because the NRA provides politicians money our leaders turn a blind eye to the role that guns play in our society. Walker claims that he takes his direction from God. I have great difficulty believing that the God I worship directed Walker to get more guns into the hands of people faster. Wake up Wisconsin ...Walker's guns are killing your neighbors, friends and family members!

Yes James your stories will come true. We use to hear those stories all the time until our elected officials saw fit to put a 48 hour waiting period on getting a gun so people would have time to cool down. Now we will start all over again. How many will have to die before they reverse this law back to what it is now. This is all so stupid. It's like we are going back to the old wild west days with everyone packing heat. I have a hard time believing that Van Wangaard, being a retired cop, really believes this is the right thing to do.
