Tom Tiffany, Little Rock and Freedom

A friend spotted the ironies in GOP State Sen. Tom Tiffany's July 24th e-newsletter:
Christening of the USS Little Rock
On Saturday, July 18, I was invited to the christening of the USS Little Rock (LCS-9) in Marinette. The Little Rock is a Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ship and is the ninth Littoral Combat Ship made for the U.S. Navy.

Sorry, I'm usually on High Irony Alert all of the time, but I'm missing the irony here. Please take pity on the dullards and start 'splaining' the joke.

I would guess the fact that Tiffany has no problems posing with federally built warships but at the same time creating a massive deficit by rejecting the ACA medicaide money of over $300 million and climbing. But we can't depend on that money can we. We dont see him rejecting federal $$$ for roads do we. Some fed money is good and some is bad according to Tiffany.

Orval Faubus Blocks Little Rock High School Integration:
On Sept. 2, 1957, Gov. Orval Faubus called out the Arkansas National Guard to prevent a group of African-American students, who later became known as the Little Rock Nine, from entering the all-white Central High School. In a broadcast that evening, Faubus defends his decision to call in the state's National Guard.
