Funds for tax-free Trump paintings, legal cases drying up

All good things must come to an end, so R.I.P., probably, The Donald J. Trump Foundation.

This is his family run, so-called charitable foundation which spent charitable dollars donated by outsiders on super-sized Trump portrait pantings, legal fees to settle lawsuits against Trump businesses and campaign donations to the Florida Attorney General about the time she decided not to sue the now-defunct Trump University on behalf of Floridians who said the so-called University had defrauded them.

Yes, this is the same Donald Trump who branded his Presidential opponent as "Crooked Hillary" and said her family foundation which had a long track record of charitable work had broken the law.

And who won the Electoral College votes, thus the presidency, with the assistance of Russian autocrat and enemy-of-democracy Vladimir Putin - - a circumstance that may finally transfer "crooked" to the Trump campaign, and who knows how far up its chain of command, if the Congress can set up an investigation more worthy of its better angels and less resembling a kangaroo hearing or Kremlin operation.

Anyway - - I say "probably" about the foundation's promised demise since Trump's promised release of his tax returns never happened and the blind trust he was to set up to own and oversee his business was never announced, so let's wait a bit before we say for sure that the Foundation has gone the way of Trump University.
