The Milwaukee River storms past Estabrook Park, Shorewood

The normally gentle flow of the Milwaukee River below Estabrook Park and along the riverwalk in Shorewood is carrying a huge volume of stormwater from Ozaukee and northern Milwaukee County today. I was here a couple of weeks ago and the difference is profound.

Which is why it's crazy that Scott Walker has been filling wetland acreage since his first day in office, since wetlands are nature's flood-controlling sponges.

I'm guessing all of this flooding will be used as evidence by Illinois against Wisconsin in the FoxConn lawsuit.

If they hadn't taken religion out of schools then our children would know how to build arks.

Instead, destruction.

Thoughts and prayers.
