Clarke lugs body-count baggage to Trump appointment

Out-going Milwaukee County Sheriff and heading-for-campaign defeat David ("Good Riddance") Clarke will have to build-in travel time back home from the plum, soft-landing Trump just handed him if and when Clarke's testimony in jail death cases on his watch is needed.

Some charges have been recommended following the death by dehydration of a mentally-ill inmate whose cell's water had been cut off by jail staff for seven days.

Note that the job of Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary is far enough down the bureaucratic organizational chart that Senate confirmation is not required.

It is not yet known if Clarke can actually bring anything but insecurity to the aforementioned Homeland Security Department.

God help his co-workers, superiors and anyone whom he is supposed to help.

Stay tuned - - to Fox News for his upcoming frequent reports.

I can't wait for his deposition in the suit against him for sicking his deputies on that airline passenger. Thought he could have been charge with misconduct in public office for that one.

Does this "appointment" really surprise anyone? I haven't seen even a hint of Trump's oft-repeated promise to "Make America Great Again."
