Walker Job Creation Record In Epic Fail Territory

To hit his absurd pledge to create 250,000 new private sector jobs in a first term, Scott Walker would need to be looking at 62,500 annually - - but the latest information he hopes goes unseen this Friday afternoon pegs the last full 12-month period analyzed at +20,481.

He keeps saying the state is headed in the right direction.

Right, politically. Wrong, economically.

I can't find a reliable link, but some people claim to have a "hiring will take off like a rocket after the recall" quote from Vos or Walker.

Anon 4:35pm: Walker was quoted by the AP at http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2012/05/14/politics/scott-walker-new-jobs-numbers on May 14, 2012:

"There is a tremendous enthusiasm built up for additional jobs," he said. "I think you're going to see a tremendous takeoff."

Walker blamed the state's employment woes on the recalls, saying employers are hesitant to add jobs during times of political uncertainty but that there would be a "dramatic turnaround" after June 5.

"There is a tremendous enthusiasm built up for additional jobs," he said. "I think you're going to see a tremendous takeoff."
