NBC's Political Editor Mislabels Generic GOP Legislators As "Rising Stars"

I'm surprised that NBC's top political staffer Chuck Todd doesn't have deeper intelligence into Wisconsin politics, as the GOP Assemblymen he identifies as "rising stars" - -  Speaker Robin Vos and Brookfield Rep. Dale Kooyenga - - are stamped out by the Republican Party Cookie-Cutter with few unique characteristics.

You could move any Wisconsin GOP assembly member into any of the party's safe, gerrymandered seats into Vos or Kooyenga's district, and vice versa, and not one thing would change in party or legislative operation.

They're all vanilla cogs in the Party's soulless, ideological machine, subservient to Walker, who, in turn reports obediently to The Bradley Foundation, Americans for Prosperity and Milwaukee-area talk radio.

You can't have rising stars in a perpetually dark sky.

Correct James- they're just the ones most likely to get out to the media. They have nothing to do with the pre-written ALEC/Koch wish list they get their "agenda" from.

Of course, why should we expect any real insight from Chuck "It's not my job to tell the facts" Todd? He's just relaying what he's been told by the DC cocktail party circuit. You know, the same people who think Paul Ryan is a "deep thinker".

Dale Kooyenga tours elementary schools in his district, explaining the process of how "bills become laws". I'll bet he doesn't include the part about how he and other ALEC water-carriers introduce ALEC's model bills into the legislative process.
