You bicyclists can take your tourist dollars elsewhere. Local two-wheeled commuters can continue your dangerous route on streets, over potholes, rail lines, etc.
Meanwhile, the road-builders are looking at several billion dollars in projects on the drawing board, and Milwaukee's streetcar plan, like other non-highway programs, is stalled.

The only small, better yet make that miniscule, minds involved here are the imbeciles who ever thought this was a good idea.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel:) It really is too bad WisDOT still thinks it is 1950, oh well.
