Anybody Listening? The Corps Of Engineers Has Warned Wisconsin Not To Shortcut Mining Reviews

The US Army Corps of Engineers told the Walker administration, months ago, in writing, not to shortcut environmental reviews to accommodate mining proposals. Which is precisely what the Republican-controlled State Assembly's bill will do, including restricting public input and eliminating hearings.

So is the bill a favor to a special interest, or a deliberate picked fight for ideological reasons with the feds?
