Transit foes Vos and Walker damage WI, presage Trump

Over the last couple of days I put up documented posts about the various ways that anti-transit, right-wing GOP Wisconsin 'leaders' Gov. Scott Walker and Assembly Speaker Robin Vos separately and together had blocked multiple rail transit and related initiatives in Southeastern Wisconsin, and statewide, but usually at the expense of urban areas where Democrats tend to cluster.

The context of the posts was demonstrating how Vos and Walker's ideological and road-builder-friendly opposition had stunted transportation choices, worker convenience and business development in Southeast Wisconsin, and, ironically, in the very area - - Racine County - - where a major Taiwan-based electronics company may be considering building a uniquely-massive assembly plant.

I realize the posts establish a lot of the victory of right-wing ideology over common sense over the public interest that is the Walker administration's signature, negative accomplishment these last seven long years, so I'm putting those posts together below in a single item with a title that should help Google searchers find it.

And learn what the rest of know by having suffered through what was, in just one state, a preview - - as I've said before when discussing the environment - - of what Trump has in store for the country.

Vos' long transit blockade does help Racine's Foxconn future

 Walker.

Amtrak line killed by Walker could have fed Foxconn.
