Heard on the street: private security to staff DNR HQ greeting desk
Not sure if it's part of the next DNR reorganization, or cost-cutting, or message-sending, but I'm hearing that the visitor entrance on the 7th floor of the DNR headquarters - - the Visitor Services Desk - - in the GEF complex in downtown Madison will be soon be staffed by a private security company and not DNR civil servants.
This appears to be the same security company which has been regulating ground floor entrance to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services at 1 W. Wilson St. for more than a year, and which is now providing armed guards at the State Justice Department.

I've heard that Hill Farms (DOT) also has security guards.
