Reagan Foundation now supporting Walker version of Reagan bible story
The Reagan Foundation is walking back its earlier version. I'd love to know the back story.
A forum, news site and archive begun in February, 2007 about politics and the environment in Wisconsin. And elsewhere.

That's quite a mincemeat of words coming from the staff at the Reagan library. I laughed. You can juggle words in many ways, but what it comes down to is that Walker's advance team ask if he could hold the bible. Whether or not they pull it from the case, whether or not they agree to let him hold it is a word jumble. Do they seriously think people will buy their reworded version. Not in this lifetime.
Only the headline matters. No one who reads this is undecided about what happened.
Strings were pulled, arms twisted to validate Scottie's lie. Bank on it.
You got that right. And Nancy Reagan certainly did not pick Scotty as "The Chosen One", which is the impression Walker was trying to give with his story.
The Reagan folks can try to spin this all they want, now that the check has cleared, but it doesn't change Walker's mendacity and creepiness
Isn't it amazing how many misunderstandings and drafting errors surround this man. I guess when you play loosely with the truth or not all with the truth this is what happens.
Doubtless the Reagan Library staff decided they really truly did not want to be in the position of calling "liar" the man who stood a good chance of being the next GOP candidate for President.
