Lee Berguist's piece on WI oil trains a must-read
Very much appreciate the data and Wisconsin focus in his timely story.
This issue is getting a great deal of attention.
Note, as I have, that these oil trains routinely move through downtown Milwaukee.

Oil trains are great. I am glad there are more trains to watch, especially downtown. It is fun to watch trains, even when they carry oil.
The United States gets, last time I read about the issue, around 40% of its oil from fields on the Niger delta.

That area is also the "world capital of oil pollution". Nigeria has the equivalent of an Exxon Valdez-sized oil spill every year. The US outsources much of the environment disaster our oil addiction causes. So I say it's about time we accept some of the environmental destruction that goes along with millions of people driving their SUVs alone out of and back to the suburbs. Since we cannot nuke Waukesha from orbit (it's the only way to be sure), run oil trains and pipelines through it.
