Why Walker Backed Off Statewide School Closing

Of course Walker had to back off the statewide school closing he'd mused about earlier today, since Minnesota had already done it, and if there's one thing Walker can have nothing to do with, it's Minnesota. The state with more job growth, cheaper, better and broader health insurance and a better future. To which Walker can never draw attention.

Walker has said he will make his final decision by Wednesday.

Ha! Maybe he should wait and announce his school closing decision at the same time he announces the Casino decision.

"Walker, for his part, didn’t like the numbers so he changed them. The governor says Wisconsin is not 37th, but 25th. He ignores the most comparable number — the one that measures rate of job creation — and instead cites Wisconsin’s total jobs created for the period, 23,963. But that number is weighted toward the most populous states, which naturally create more jobs than lesser populated states. Wisconsin ranks 20th in population, so even citing the 25th spot indicates the state punched below its weight."

"Usually, with regard to jobs and wage stagnation and poverty and so on, the problem is that conservatives deny empirical reality. This gives us people like Paul Ryan, for example, who genuinely seems to believe, in the face of the mountains of evidence about how the social safety net and federal entitlements have saved millions from lives of far worse destitution, that all government can do is make slaves of people."

(Michael Tomasky, The Daily Beast, 1/03/14)

In this regard, I believe Mr. Tomasky could just as easily have referenced Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

This is a remarkably cheap and disingenuous post -- I expect journal communications hacks to play the news, hiding behind the lie of objective journalism -- but even for an "ol' school" self-proclaimed "expert", this post is over the top.

Sure there is something you can honestly blog about that reveals the truth behind the "divide and conquer" monster that your boys at journal communications created.

Maybe Walker has different temperature numbers than the rest of us. White the reality-based community uses a Fahrenheit scale and and a wind-chill calculation formula maybe Walker uses his own method to measure the cold.
