Attention, Caulkmeister Glenn Grothman; DNR Cites Multiple Mine/Water Issues

It wasn't long ago that West Bend GOP State Senator and caulk fancier Glenn Grothman told a farm family living near the proposed GTac open-pit iron mine up north that concerns they had about their well could be handled with some caulking, but now the DNR preliminarily cites multiple potential threats to the region's waters, including widespread acid mine drainage:

In a new report, the state Department of Natural Resources has identified potential pollution problems with iron mining in northern Wisconsin, including the loss of surface and groundwater and the threats to water from a process known as acid mine drainage.

The report is being attacked by the company, citing DNR bias.
