"A little fill here and there may seem to be nothing to become excited about. Our navigable waters are a precious natural heritage, once gone, they disappear forever," wrote the Wisconsin Supreme Court in its 1960 opinion resolving Hixon v. PSC and buttressing The Public Trust Doctrine, Article IX of the Wisconsin State Constitution.

Thus proving, once and for all, the classic third-grade adage that it "takes one to know one."
This is all scripted. The fact the Mitt is digging into this and the GOP is publicly criticizing him and breaking Reagan's 11th commandment smells of a public relations gimmick. What better way to make yourself look reasonable than to have the major players all criticize a losing candidate on one of his weakest positions?
The collective wisdom of the Republican party could fit in a teacup.
