Another day, another WI hound fatally thrown to wolves

The DNR says this time it's a Walker hound, like the one below, and note in the map on the linked site it's not far from the site of another recent fatal dog encounter with the larger, predatory wolves.

As I've for written often for years, and recently, Wisconsin is the only state that lets hounders run their dog packs off leash into known wolf activity areas, chasing bear, and will pay the owner $2,500 per hound that does not survive what are inevitable encounters.
