Business Throws Ad Support Behind Waukesha Diversion

Chambers of Commerce and other firms take out the following ad in The Freeman, Waukesha's hometown daily. The sponsoring group says it has more than 50 members, and labels the ad its first.

The ad does not disclose that the diversion asks for far more water than is currently used, and will extend to new areas to Waukesha's south and west that add 80% to the city's water service territory.

Another perspective is here.

Notice Ruekert & Mielke in that list..... pretty much the private sector arm of SEWRPC..... where is SEWRPC located now? In R & M's old building. Who does a good load of consulting work for SEWRPC? R & M...... The one's who assisted and consulted on the Regional Water plan....

I did note in a recent post that Bill Mielke made the connection between water and growth in a way that is not highlighted in the water group's letter.

More. Can't help connect the dots with Dan Warren, Chairman of the Waukesha Water Utility. Mr. Warren also is the President of the Waukesha School Board. This is the same Wisconsin School Board that chose to borrow big money to gamble it away on those toxic "Credit Default Swaps". And the lenders are calling in their notes. So why would we trust our water decisions to Mr. Warren.
