Vos, Fitzgerald can toll their home county bridges first

You may have missed the enthusiasm for tolls which rates as giddy with Wisconsin's GOP legislative leaders:
"I have become a bigger believer in the idea," said Sen. Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, at a meeting of the Wisconsin Counties Association.
"We have the ability to toll in an awful lot of Wisconsin," Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester told reporters afterward. "You can do it on bridges. You can do it in an awful lot of places around the state."
You know, Wisconsin has a lot of bridges. Here's one WisDOT map with some of them.

Some of these tolling opportunities are in the communities and counties which Vos and Fitzgerald represent, like the Sock River Bridge in Dodge County, below, which Fitzgerald represents.

Or the bridge over the Fox River in Vos' hometown of Rochester: just drop a couple of innocuous transponder readers in both directions, and ka-ching!

Go for it, gentlemen, because as Vos says, "You can do it..."
