Kevin Shafer Getting Props For MMSD Leadership, Innovation

It's good to see Kevin Shafer getting recognized for environmental stewardship and executive innovation at the helm of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District:

Since becoming executive director of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District in 2002, Shafer has established partnerships with leaders throughout southeastern Wisconsin to improve the health of area rivers and Lake Michigan, according to Rob Henken, president of the Public Policy Forum.
On Wednesday, the forum will give Shafer its Norman N. Gill Award for Individual Excellence in recognition of his adherence to good government principles of collaboration, cooperation and diligence, Henken said. The award will be presented as part of the forum's 22nd annual Salute to Local Government at the Italian Conference Center.
