Four SE Wisconsin Counties Still Reject Equal Rights

The courthouse door to equal rights is still blocked by elected officials in Racine, Walworth, Ozaukee and Washington Counties.

Props to more progressive Waukesha!

Details, here.

Why are you tring to mislead by tying anti-gay to repugs?

timmy russell and brain peirick were diehard teabaggers (er... maybe better stated as "big scott walker" fans.

I will refrain from outing any more top republicans (in-state or nationally). The republican party has a huge contingent of gay -- just ask "wide-stance" larry craig.

Walkersha has its share of the same, nothing progressive about letting repub gays marry.

now that's a line we don't hear often. "Props to more progressive Waukesha" indeed!

I disagree. It is the height of liberalism to insist that your political enemies are entitled to civil rights that they themselves oppose.

You missed the point, zombie -- the republican party is FULL OF GAYS and this wedge issue, once the cover is blown, serves no legit purpose.

walker is going to need every repug gay vote he can get to beat burke (though they will steal the election as needed).

The repugs aren't gonna push this hard -- they can blame the dems for it and use that as a wedge issue in 2014.

Now that the floodgate has opened, they can exploit this issue while the gay repugs get married and the entire party (straight and gay alike) condemn the dems for letting it happen.

So can we finally put to rest the idea that Waukesha is the 'most conservative' county in WI? As a resident of Washington County, the land of Don Pridemore, Glenn Grothman and book burning in front of the WB library, I resent that we keep getting overlooked for this honor.

James was making a wry comment, calling Waukesha County "progressive". How did y'all miss the punch line?

Ya gotta love J.B. for filing an "emergency" petition . . . . . because the worst thing that could possibly happen in Wisconsin would be that a bunch of gay people might get married! Ooooh . .. scary! Wonder who his new employer is going to be and did said employer have anything to do with JB's action?

oh, oh. Now Clint Eastwood will marry his chair.

I'm sure Rowen is working on a new post for this latest breaking news:

Van Hollen: clerks issuing licenses to gay couples could be charged

Typical walker/repug strategy -- blame the dysfunction of their policies and one-party rule on workers.

walker/van hollen/et al are bullies that cannot stand up to scrutiny nor stand on their own merits.

I'm sure Rowen will have some interesting things to ad, but wanted to place this on the table as the story unfolds.
