Include "Colorado" In Climate Change Discussion

Every time right-wing politicians, Fox 'pundits' and local radio talkers mock and deny the extreme effects of climate change, just add in the word "Colorado." It's hard to miss Colorado's recent record heat, wildfires, rainfall, landslides, floods, and massive property losses, And the dead people.

The only thing people weather people can predict with any degree of certainty is that tonight will be darker.

Global warming fell flat on its face, so we need to come up with something more encompassing... climate change.

Climate changes all the time, year to year, decade to decade. Remember the glacier chapter, the dust bowl, the coming ice age in the 70s, global warming in the 90s... Keep grasping at straws.

Actually, it was Karl Rove who got the media to parrot the phrase "climate change." Scientists still use the term global warming for the most part.

Indeed it does. Climate changed a long time ago to make Wisconsin a place hospitable to a prosperous economy. Now it's changing to make Wisconsin a lot poorer. And it's changing because of the greenhouse effect, which is being incrased by human activity. It would be wise to take action.
