WI DNR website carrying outdated wolf status
Though a Federal judge on Friday ordered gray wolves in Wisconsin returned immediately to protected status on the endangered list. the DNR's webpage describing the wolves status still says this:
Please don't tell me someone at the DNR can't work on this during a weekend. It is not a 9-5 M-F operation. What do you think I'm doing right now?
And also don't tell me no one at the DNR moves that quickly. The agency went into emergency rule-making mode to implement the hunt as this history shows, and rushed out Friday with a news release that expressed its "disappointment" with the court ruling.
We'll check Monday to see what the site looks like.
"The gray wolf was removed from the state endangered species list in 2004 and was federally delisted on January 27, 2012."Nothing about the ruling and the ban through multiple tabs on wolf hunting informational pages put up by the DNR, either.

The Walker administration is contemptuous on so many fronts. Now it ignores federal court rulings.
I wish this judge would find the DNR in contempt of court and jail the DNR administrator until the last hunter levels the wood.
