Incurious media ignored 2007 power summit for, with Walker

The last-ditch smear of Mary Burke exposed the branches of the right's political apparatus in Wisconsin, but roots of its interest in Walker - - a 2007 power-brokers' summit - - went unexamined by state media - - even though Salon.com quoted a senior strategist from the Koch brothers-created Americans for Prosperity bragging about the meeting.

I suppose national media will go after the rest of the details if Walker becomes a presidential candidate, but that will be too late for Wisconsin voters who could have benefited from that kind of story assigning and reporting during the gubernatorial campaign that is ending today.
