From the WI DNR…Calling all employees, "post-election"

Top Wisconsin DNR administrators are gathering all staff for a "Town Hall meeting" tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m. Seems there is a pretty short agenda:
Town Hall topics Post-election- where we will continue to go from here. Secretary and Secretary's Directors awards - - why changes were made and how to nominate.
Separately - - do not be surprised if all-powerful Deputy Secretary Matt Moroney, an attorney and former builders' association senior executive, returns to the private sector now that Walker has been re-elected to what may be only a partial term.

James, I commented on this on UppityWisconsin, but I'd like your take as well...

If you watch the DNR's "Deer Hunt 2014" program http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/hunt/deershow.html you'll notice the host (WPT's Dan Small) and other presenters are wearing Safari Club International hats. Also, Secretary Cathy Stepp appears on the program wearing a vest that prominently features the logo of Wern Valley game farm.

Is it legal for the DNR to shill for interest groups and for-profit companies like that?

We were told at this town hall meeting that there is plenty of money in the state budget. Unfortunately it probably won't be used to increase the number of DNR employees. We are currently about 400 staff short of what we were just after Walker was elected and prior to passage of Act 10.
