WI DNR Secretary Stepp rules over slogan change

Former Wisconsin DNR basher and now-current Scott Walker "chamber of commerce mentality" DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp unveiled a new slogan for state deer hunters that echoes some of her greatest lines.
Wisconsin DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp proudly shows off her first deer, taken opening weekend last year. In the upcoming TV Special "Deer Hunt Wisconsin 2012, Stepp urges male hunters to take more girls and women hunting. "The secret's out," she says. "Hunting is a lot of fun, so don't keep it to yourselves." photo courtesy of Wisconsin DNR
She told deer hunter as the season began that "the rules have changed, but the tradition remains."

In 2009, when she was just another ex-GOP state senator and DNR-hater, she said, and I quote and copy verbatim from an anti-DNR blog post:

Just another example of the democrats game plan: Change the Rules to Fit the Players.
Shout it with me, now: HYPOCRISY, THY NAME IS DEMOCRAT.

During the interview with Dan Small she said that all of the ideas for changes came from hunters. I doubt it. She tells staff the same thing - that all of the changes to DNR came from staff suggestions.

Sportsman for walker.

What a great slogan. Here's a conversation similar to what I have with many friends of mine:

Friend: Stinking DNR (Damn Near Russia) screwing with the rules for this deer season. You don't fix what isn't broken.
Me: Well you know these changes are from Walker and his appointed leader, neither of whom know anything about natural resources or hunting.
Friend: No, you don't get it, it is the DNR. Walker is fixing it.
Me: Didn't you just say it was not broken so it didn't need fixing.

They chose to screw with our hunting tradition by their vote.
Yet they still blame the DNR. Its all the wardens and biologists fault. They think Walker is so much smarter than them and he just wants to fix our deer season. He appointed someone with zero background in charge of our resources. He hired a guy to write a study who thinks public land is communism. Yet the average hunter refuses to make the connection because some moron has a sign that says, Sportsmen for Walker"
