GOP Redistricting Wrinkle: 300,000 Voters Get To Wait Six Years Between State Senate Elections
What? Now you want state election on some kind of regular schedule, Wisconsin?
Please.
In Fitzwalkerstan, why should you be so entitled?
That's the thinking of Republican Assembly and Senate leaders hell-bent on quick passage of newly-drawn Legislative district lines - - their #1 goal is to ensure GOP wins in the face of impending recall losses to energized Dems - - who are willing to use their redistricting powers to push 300,000 voters expecting to vote for State Senator in 2012 campaign to 2014, instead.
That's right in line with related Republican election monkey-wrenching: unnecessary Voter ID requirements - - in the name of fighting election fraud (LOL) - - more restrictive voter registration and absentee ballot procedures, fake candidates run as Democrats in recall elections, etc.
