Walker, Boehner, Cantor Should Cringe Before This FDR Audio Clip

Oratory and truth.

Give it a listen - - it's short, powerful and relevant.

"We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.
Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me‹and I welcome their hatred."

How true his words ring today!

I love the part where he says the nation looked to the government but the government looked away!! very moving.

Wow. No wonder my Grandma Bertha had a framed photograph of FDR hanging above the piano in our living room.

It's always a shock to hear a statesman in our statesmanless political environment (the air we breath, not this blog).

We are far too used to elected officials who think (and act) as if they represent a constituency of one.

Now THAT is what Democrats should sound like. And if they did today, they'd never lose again, because things don't feel that much different 75 years later, do they?

Remember, FDR got all but 8 electoral votes in the election held 1 week after that speech. That's what happens when you speak truth to power.
