I can't compare tonight's Feingold / Johnson debate with the first two because I missed the second one entirely, and the first one I heard only partially, but Johnson was TERRIBLE tonight. He didn't have any facts and figures to back up his statements, and all he did was to parrot various phrases from his ads. He didn't answer questions directly, never looked at Feingold and seemed lost when questions were asked or when Feingold made statements that Ron's script hadn't prepared answers for. Feingold was feisty, never looked at a note, yet each answer was backed up by facts reeled off crisply, articulately, and decisively. Defended each accusation energetically without getting angry. He put the verbal beat-down on RJ. Johnson had the look that a dog gets when it's being yelled at--he looked straight ahead and pretended that Russ wasn't talking to him. I'm not making this up--I have dogs and this is documented dog behavior.

In short, Russ was senatorial. Johnson was sad and repetitive, an old man touting his accomplishments that seemed so small and were so long ago.

You're operating in the old paradigm, Clementine. Get with the program.

Not all the people who listen--and THINK--are dead yet. You give it up too easily, GNT.
