From California To Wisconsin, Republican Money Rules

Meg Whitman to Ron Johnson, the story is the same:

Millionaires recruited this year to spend and run.

And there will be more of this due to the Supreme Court green-lighting greater corporate donations, again making Karl Rove and his committees a kingmaker.

The Congress should rewrite these rules, yesterday.

So only 2 years ago in 2008 the opposite was true, and you had absolutely no issue with that.

If fact you were giddy.

Now in 2010 you are grousing and whining about it.

And they did rewrite the rules - it was called McCain-Feingold and the Supreme Court has rightly been gradually striking it down bit by bit as being unconstitutional.

If you want to change the rules, you will need to pass a constitutional amendment.

Good luck with that btw.

This is hilarious.

A year ago, heck make that just 6 months ago, with his campaign warchest Russ was the 600 pound gorilla in the room where no one would challenge him and he would cruise to re-election.

Too bad, so sad, an 800 pound gorilla showed up and is going to put him in his place.

As in out of office and back in Middleton.
