Help Jeff Wagner Understand I-94 Congestion

The 620 WTMJ-AM righty talker said just after 2:30 p.m. today that he didn't understand how people could possibly deal with the daily traffic congestion between Milwaukee and Waukesha County - - and oh, the construction on top of everything! - - so perhaps Wagner should contact a Jeff Wagner at the station who helped kill the light rail line proposed for that very corridor, and who backed the Zoo Interchange reconstruction in that corridor without any transit component.

A known transit foe, Wagner has engaged in this contradictory whining about road congestion before - -  here or here.

Not that the Wagners of the world would ever deign to step into a light rail vehicle, but does it ever occur to them that, for example, the person up ahead whose flat tire or fender-bender is the reason for what Wagner called the routine "monster" congestion might have taken the train or bus that day, leaving Wagner's way more open?

milwaukee journal sentinel helped kill it too -- in fact -- they endorsed walker for governor in 2010 and 2012

Why give the rest of that propaganda machine a free pass?

No free pass is given. The posting is specific to Wagner and his remarks.

And I have called out the paper for those Walker endorsements more times than I can remember.

I love the mental picture of clueless Wagner #1 contacting clueless Wagner #2 (via Clue Phone?) and filling him in on the terriblesome traffic troubles, neither Judge Clueless knowing the other is . . . himself! Wicked funny!

If it was set to music, it would be Wagner's "Ride of the Walkeries."

And why didn't Milwaukee just say screw you and build this NECESSARY transportation essential itself. Because it couldn't find some other community to pay for it for them.

That is why Wagner and Sykes are known as "The big "AFFS", (Anti Future Fellows). Bring back the hitching posts, water tanks and oat buckets.

Because the privilege of sucking federal transport money like a parasite is only available to the Milwaukee suburbs.

Ralph, do you realize that Milwaukee can't actually build things across municipal lines?

Milwaukee is moving forward on it's own for a streetcar; but explain to me why, in your "let Milwaukee build it themselves" worldview, Walker and the Republicans in the legislature are trying to intervene and stop it anyway?

You know, maybe it's about time you recognize that Milwaukeeans are just as much a part of Wisconsin as you are. It's not like we're a separate country over here.
