New Voter Discouragement Tactic: Glendale, WI Only Opening One of Six Polling Places In July 12 Recall Election

Glendale, WI is making it hard for its voters to cast ballots. Some portions of the city are not in the recalled Senate District, but others are and those voters will have to go to a single polling place in City Hall to vote.

Short-sighted to be sure.

The Parkway School polling location is currently being rented out by a religious group for a day camp. The staff and students during the school year routinely make accommodations for voters during the regular school year. Is it a matter of money or something else? All polls should be open! This will confuse many citizens.

something tells me the religious day-camp children are not to blame here...

I bet voters in Glendale will be sufficiently motivated to vote no matter where they have to go.
