In GOP-run WI, absolute power corrupts. Absolutely.

Right-wing WI Republicans, having been told by a Federal court their existing Legislative redistricting was illegally-crafted, choose to bill the taxpayers with an open meter to try and overturn the ruling and hold on to their offices and power.

Republican lawmakers voted behind closed doors Thursday to give a blank check to hire two law firms — one of which routinely bills more than $800 an hour —  in a legal battle over redrawing legislative maps. 

The move will add to a bill that has already topped $2 million.
