Ho-hum: Walker admin. in secret $197 million real estate deal
In The New Corruptastan, and with all the signals and warnings - - really, who is surprised?
Gov. Scott Walker's administration has chosen a contractor to build a nearly $200 million replacement to its aging Transportation Department headquarters on the capital city's west side.
But the administration isn't ready to say yet who the developer will be. Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch told members of the state Building Commission Wednesday that until the process of contracting with a developer is complete in the next few weeks he's legally bound to keep the winning bidder private.
