Most Milwaukee officials condemn streetcar violence prediction
It's good news that twelve of Milwaukee's fifteen-member Common Council signed a statement condemning Ald. Joe Dudzik's off-the-wall comments to a radio call-in program predicting a city streetcar line under consideration would be marred by shootings, assaults and rape.
Mayor Tom Barrett had earlier blasted Dudzig's remarks yesterday.
Unfortunately, two of Dudzig's Council colleagues - - Robert Puente, and leading streetcar opponent and mayoral candidate Bob Donovan did not sign after the 'debate' on the streetcar hit bottom yesterday.
