Milwaukee business leaders, with notable exception, support the city streetcar

Great that many leaders are backing the Milwaukee streetcar plan a major step in the city's development is nearing Common Council decisions.

Regrettable, but not surprising that 'leading' those letting the city down through silence is our local regional chamber of commerce known as the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce.

It's a politicized, GOP-leaning, suburban-focused organization that supports anti-rail Gov. Scott Walker.
