Senior Bush-Era Aide Says GOP 'Full Of Racists'

How will the haters deal with this turn of events?

A former senior Army officer who served as Secretary of State Colin Powell's chief of staff, and who is also a Republican, said his party is full of racists.

The context was the statement by Romney campaign co-chair John Sununu that Powell endorsed Barack Obama was because both are African-American.

You are all a bunch of white racist bigots who are biased against blacks. That is, except those of you who are black racist bigots who are biased against whites. And then there are the females who are all biased against men, and the men who are all biased against women. It is only us liberals who are pure, enlightened and unbiased. The rest of you slobs are really pathetic.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson has always been an out spoken republican. He remains loyal to Colin Powell and has on more that one occasion called out former Bush administrations neocons.

In this case he's confirming what has become more and more evident ... the fact that the republican party has been taken over by a radical right group of racists.

President Obama could have solved every major problem facing the world and he would still have been a target for the racists who more than anything want that black man out of their White House.

The attitude reminds me of time time I spent in the south in the mid 1960's.

When 99% of blacks are going to vote for the black candidate, please explain to me again which party has the racism?

What would the headlines be if 99% of whites voted for the white candidate in the election next Tuesday.

Talk about hypocrisy.

Reagan's Disciple,

Blacks voted for white men. Ever hear of Bill Clinton.

You = Derp

Yes, but when given a choice between Black/White they voted 99% in favor of the black candidate.

Again, instead of calling names, answer the question.

What would the headlines be if 99% of whites voted for Romney on Tuesday?

You probably won't be able to say on Nov 7 that 99% of [all] whites voted for Romney, but you will be able to say that nearly 100% of all voters for Romney are white.

@ Rayguns October 29, 2012 8:50 AM: You might remember that prior to 2008, black people could NOT vote for an African-American president because President Obama was the first such candidate (not including a couple of primary candidates in previous elections). Therefore it follows that blacks could not exercise their racist voting agenda until 2008. And they don't hold a majority in the Democratic party, so your point is . . . what?

Another point: technically, Obama is not the first black president. He's as much white as he is black, so he is the first mixed-race president. That's probably how he got so many white folks to vote for him.

To answer your question about what would the headlines be if 99% of whites for Romney on Tuesday:

"Romney Elected First Mormon President."

PS: You can say that nearly 100% of Romney supporters are white NOW. You don't have to wait until Nov 6th or 7th.

I get really sick of liberals calling our current President out by the color of his skin and his fathers country of national origin.

Obama is an American - not an African. If he was he would not be President of the United States of American.

Truly I believe that liberals promote racism and division in this country as a religion unto itself. We will never become a united people as long as we refer to one another by such terms.
