Sykes On Gingrich: No...And Then Some
The conservative talker with the biggest morning audience compiles some links to explain why he's no fan of Newt's.
But will Charlie repeat the great story he told several weeks ago about the few days he spent with Newt in DC when the-then GOP House of Representatives figure was looking for a ghost-writer, and decided to decline Newt's proposal?

Ah, I thought this might be a case where Cholly takes a logical position and recognizes Gingrich for the vile bomb-thrower he is. Instead Cholly's rationale essentially is that Newt is not (to use Newt's own pronunciation) "conservateeve" enough. Newt is tainted because (dear God!) there have been times he agreed with liberals. In short, he is too moderate. Holy cripes, Cholly is loonier than I thought. Oh, correction, Cholly is merely doing his usual job of pandering to the wacko fringe; he has no actual principles.
Then comes the question: If Gingrich is too moderate, then Romney isn't? Who on earth does this guy actually support?
My point was and is that Sykes has a valuable story to tell and I hope he repeats it. I could go digging into the podcast history, I suppose...
Speaking of ghost writers- who is RJ's?
James,
Do you know about when it was? I would be interested in finding / listening to it as well.
Thanks,
I'd guess between Dec. 15 - - Jan. 15.
I'm surprised that Sykes isn't attracted by Gingrich's race baiting because that's what Sykes does best.
