For You Journalism/History/Politics Buffs - - A 1948 Election-Night Photo From Newsweek's Young TV Program

On the right, that's Hobart Rowen, my 30-year old father, explaining the results to Washington Bureau Chief Ernest K. Lindley. The Dumont network is long gone, and note the changes to the national election map. And the microphone hanging over the set. Awesome.

Thanks! I had no idea Newsweek ever had a TV program. Somehow, they managed without all of our bells and whistles. For some reason, I can't help but think of Tim Russert's famous chalkboard.
