Concealed Carriers Carry Other Risks
Walker will sign it anyway, putting everyone at risk.
A forum, news site and archive begun in February, 2007 about politics and the environment in Wisconsin. And elsewhere.

Causation vs Correlation.
Are you suggesting that owning a gun causes you to drink and drive?
It also is a telephone study of people who "own a gun" and people who have "confronted a gun owner."
Hardly a valid point against law-abiding citizens. People who drink and drive will do so whether or not they own a gun.
I would also argue that it is controversial because over 25% of the democrats in the assembly voted for it.

Don't be daft. The point is that the reckless also tend to like guns, a dangerous combination.
This is a non-correlation. I bet concealed carriers eat more steak than non-gun owners so we should keep them away from cows so they don't shoot them.
Big stretch Jim..........
i conduct administrative hearings, which sometimes become emotionally charged, at the state office building. i have yet to know if the state will post signs prohibiting guns. in this setting, will there be an instance where one who arrives as a "law abiding citizen" with a gun is not so law abiding before he leaves? there are not enough capitol policemen on hand to be present at all hearings and they probably cannot come on the spur of the moment to monitor the hearing if you become aware that a party has a gun.
@ the anti gun crowd.
Why are you so brian washed into believing their are going to be shoot-outs and duels.
Show me one other steat where there have been such problems. Show me one other state that has gotten rid of its conceal carry legislation.
I can't wait to hear about all of the anti's hiding in their closets holding their blankets and waiting in fear for a stray bullet from a law abiding, trained permit holder's gun to strike them in the lung.
Guys, it is the criminals you need to be concerned with!
Reagan's D,
Dave Zien and two other knuckle draggers were at the Assembly for passage of the CC bill. They violently assaulted the peaceful (albeit loud) protest singers in the rotunda. That's why many don't think gun nut yahoos should be allowed to carry; concealed or otherwise. And this bill even allows CC in the Capitol. I am (only slightly) concerned about criminals. I am very concerned about gun nuts who live in fear.

Ah, this is reassuring. The man who attacked the singers in the Capitol yesterday gun store owner and state director of the American Association of Certified Firearms Instructors.
