Rally For Labor, UW System, At UWM Monday Noon

(Milwaukee WI) UWM United - - a coalition of political leaders,student, faith, labor, and community organizations - - is conducting the United We Stand Rally. The group has formed to oppose the UW system split and the proposed 2011-2013 State of Wisconsin budget. 

Speakers will address issues such as public workers’ rights, tuition stability, and funding for public education. 

The Rally will be held March 14th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Spaights Plaza on the UWM campus.

Speakers will include State Senator Chris Larson, Reverend Willie Brisco of MICAH, Sheila Cochran, Chief Operating Officer of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, and Alderman Nik Kovac of the City of Milwaukee. Other speakers will include student, community, labor, and political representatives.
