Republican Fleebaggery

Talk radio loves to refer to the Wisconsin Senate Democrats as "fleebaggers" for leaving the state to delay adoption of Scott Walker's so-called budget-repair bill that stripped public employees of collective bargaining rights.

But Cong. Jim Sensenbrenner has something of a history of fleeing public meetings when he doesn't like what he's hearing.

Here is video of Sensenbrenner walking out of a Congressional hearing, along with the gavel, before a staffer disconnected the microphone.

More recently, he and State Senator Leah Vukmir walked out of a public meeting in Wauwatosa. Gavel in hand.

Give me a break. He walked out of the meeting because of the loudmouths shouting everyone down in a public library. Oh, and the librarian even asked the loudmouths to tone it down because the library was still being used by the public for job searches, taxes and reading.

He gave several opportunities to allow for a reasonable discussion, yet the lefty protesters wanted no part of being civil and giving everyone a voice. I guess it is free speech for only those that agree with the protesters, right?

Surely you are smarter than this James.

Kinda like a Tea Party/health care forum approach, right?

Sensenbrenner has a history of fleeing with something belonging to the taxpayers--typically their money--but in both of these examples, Big Jim took the gavel--the equivalent of taking the ball and going home when he didn't like how the game was being played.

Seriously, RD, do you think Big Jim can't defend himself? He's been on plenty of nasty, angry rants of his own--often times rants directed at constituents and other members of the public. Lately a lot of these immature blow-ups have been caught on You Tube and C-Span. If you're going to pretend you're the only adult in the room, the only one making the tough decisions (decisions that, BTW, affect everyone ELSE but him) then you ought to be able to take the consequences like an adult.

But not our blubbery, blustery bully: nope. Ivory Tower Jim has never encountered a consequence he had to face. He's a true fleebagger, a real Teabagger fleeing from facts, faces and his own uncontrollable anger.
