WI lakeshore counties bad air alert extended. As I predicted Mon., & 2 years ago
The more things change, the more they do not, regrettably.
As I predicted Monday, the WI DNR's advisory for ozone polluted-air has been extended into Tuesday, with two more counties - Sheboygan and Ozaukee - added to Monday's list of Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha.
As I noted nearly two years ago when summer heat helped bring on the dirty air alerts:
You can't miss the symmetry, as the WMC's former general counsel and environmental policy guy has been running the air section of the DNR under Walker for nearly eight years.
Also remember that during the first days of his first term, Walker's 'chamber of commerce mentality'DNR got rid of ozone-alert early warnings, thus when notices are actually distributed, the conditions leading up it were known but withheld from people with asthma, heart disease, and other health risks.
