Walker Thinking Of Abolishing State Income Tax - - Thus Cities, Services

There's a bad idea, right out of the Right's playbook for Walker's presidential ru

Cities are already under state-imposed caps, so let's eliminate state revenue-sharing provided by the income tax.

Stick it to the Democratic base where minorities are obstructed from voting by ID and related barriers.

Divide and destroy.

This governor and his crony fellow Republicans will stop at nothing to destroy our once great state. Wisconsinites need to wake up SOON ...our beautiful environment, our great public schools, our free speech rights, women's rights to reproductive health care...this is all disappearing at an alarming rate. Where is the outrage? Thank you,James, for your excellent articles!

Nobody in the state is obstructed from voting. That's simply not true.

What is true is the GAB not investigating and enforcing voter fraud complaints at voting stations of primarily minority voters.

So let's abolish the GAB and the sales tax. That's progressive.

C'mon James, you don't think a 14% state sales tax will actually make people feel pain, would it? If people don't buy anything, then they won't be hurt by it! Or mayb they'll only raise it to 11%, and make sure we pay the tax on groceries, like they do in other Confederate states.

In all seriousness, we're already looking at major cuts in shared revenues, and 2014 budgets already are set up to be disasters for many communities and school districts. Can you imagine what it'd look like if the state cut back further? The "tools" have already been used, and local governments are in worse shape now than they were before Act 10.
