Great Scotts! Fitzgerald Joins Walker As Lead Recall Organizer For Dems
Scott Fitzgerald's undignified, intemperate, ignorant and divisive words speak volumes about why the Gang of Scotts that are ruining Wisconsin needs to be repudiated and recalled and repudiated.
From his Saturday news release, dripping with envy, as Senate Democrats were to take center stage, and before he went after some of his colleagues, by name:
"Today, the most shameful 14 people in the state of Wisconsin are going to pat themselves on the back and smile for the cameras. They're going to pretend they're heroes for taking a three week vacation.
"It is an absolute insult to the hundreds of thousands of Wisconsinites who are struggling to find a job, much less one they can run away from and go down to Illinois -- with pay.
"Their appearance at the Capitol today is in direct violation of the contempt order issued by the state Senate earlier this month, and it proves their absolute disregard for the institution of the Senate and the constitution they took an oath of office to serve."
Fitzgerald is the Speaker of the State Senate. Did he let an intern with a hangover write that news release?

It's truly stunning. These guys just can't help themselves. Just a little savvy would have helped the Republicans out a lot. Why would the Scotts schedule a ad hoc 'conference' committee to push through the ban on collective bargaining and then a five minute session to pass it, since it was now not budget related. They could have helped themselves a ton by allowing for the 24 hr. notice, even let the Dems call in and debate and maybe take their votes over the phone. It wouldn't make any difference, the bill would pass anyway. That would have gone a long way to help THEM. But, they just can't help themselves from being complete douchebags, because it's in their DNA.
It's amazing what a man will say when he is no longer the popular one, when he is cheating at the game, and when he is losing. He is like a young child screaming on his time out that it's not fair!
Fitzgerald's wife is a school counselor. When Lawrence O'Donnell asked him if he thought his wife was lazy and overpaid, he gave an unconvincing answer.
Perhaps his judgement is impaired by all those nights he's been spending on the couch.
Yeah, Fitzgerald, ain't civil disobedience a bitch?
