Note To Tea Party: TARP Might Actually Produce A Profit

Not that they'd care for the facts, as their cherished, self-indulgent anger feels so much better.

Yeah. No.

Good luck with this.

So far, every public issue has been limited because of low demand.

Nice stretch though. Keep spinning.

Oh, and if you want to blame Bush for this hit - I have no objection because on TARP, there is barely a distinction between Bush's irrationality and Obama's ideology - other than Bush was in a panic and Obama's ideology requires idea as bad as TARP.

The only time this approach worked was THRIFT.

TARP was a bad bailout in almost every respect.

The only way to clear bad assets from the books of the credit markets is to encourage the write-down on the loss, but dumping printed dollars has done more damage than repair.

As I said, good luck with this. It will never pay off for the taxpayer.

But James...Russ Feingold also voted against TARP.

And he (or was it Krausy) tried to use it to appeal to the Tea-baggers!?!

Would not count your chickens until they are hatched Rowen.

And exactly what facts are you referring to?

The linked article is a lot of hope and change putting the potential outcome in the best possible light, an outcome that will conveniently not be known for many years.
