GOP veto overrides flop; now to Act II - - donor-driven dismissal of gun safety

The math was never in doubt, so WI GOP Assembly members lost all their games-playing budget veto overriding efforts Thursday.

That was a bunch of adults

performing pretend lawmaking and sniping at a sitting Governor whose crime is not being a Republican - - but having defeated one.

Now that particular partisan pantomime is over, it's on to the main event in the State Senate where even more ideological bombast could break out.

That's where Dead-Eye Fitzgerald has pledged to dismiss out-of-hand Evers' calls for reasonable gun safety measures which are opposed by the gun lobby, though back by a whopping 80% of state residents, polling has shown.

Hey, just because there's a deliberative body doesn't mean it has to deliberate, or even fake it, as Fitzgerald has been saying for weeks:
Fitzgerald: No State Senate Hearings Or Debate On Evers' Gun Proposals
