Action Alert : Join a vital discussion of Wisconsin's energy future    http://www.wnpj.org/node/7597

Background: For years, ratepayers and municipalities concerned about proposed high-voltage transmission lines have been asking important questions about Wisconsin's energy policy. Thanks to their perseverance, despite a lack of information from utilities and the Public Service Commission, a special bipartisan legislative meeting on energy policy will be held Tuesday.

Participants will call for greater public and local government participation and for a two-year moratorium on high-voltage transmission lines, among other suggestions, and will hear from innovative energy specialists from Massachusetts and Oregon.

Take Action: Attend the special bipartisan legislative meeting on Wisconsin's energy future on Tuesday, December 11, from 1 to 3 pm in the State Capitol building in Madison.

A networking meeting will follow, from 3 to 5 pm. Buses are being organized from the Vernon / Monroe / Juneau County area to Madison - call 608-625-4949, email type@mwt.net or check the SOUL of the Kickapoo website for bus details.
