Surprise Resignation By WI Sen. Galloway Shuts Down Mining Bill

With a doctrinaire GOP vote removed for at least a few months - - State. Sen. Pam Galloway, (R-Wausau) having announced her surprising resignation and solving her personal recall dilemma, too - - it's unlikely Scott Walker can now find two fresh pro-mining bill votes to get the measure to what would flip a 17-16 "no" vote to 17-15 "yes."

Galloway will be best remembered for her overly-permissive, over-the-top concealed weapons'-carry bill that carries so few exceptions that fellow State Rep. Bill Kramer, (R-Waukesha), is allowed to serve as President Pro Tem and manager of the Assembly floor while carrying a Glock semi-automatic pistol, he revealed.

While I understand the feelings, and while I'm no fan of Sen. Galloway, when one or one'e family member is sick, it's probably the best thing to first hope they get better.

I certainly agree, Ed, and I hope her family's health issues are resolved.

Now we'll see who the Republicans can dig up to be in the recall race. Either Petroski, or Williams. Petroski having been very quiet for the past year. Williams who doesn't have the sense to be quiet Donna Seidel will be a great candidate.

I would ask....

if she had as much compassion for all of the families HER republican party force down on Wisconsin families?

Compassion should be a two way street.

So she said her job was done. Something about doing her job for the NRA. What the heck?

p, her job for the NRA was to sponsor the worst concealed-carry bill in the country. I'm sorry for her family problems -- but she is causing pretty big "problems" for other families in this state whose family members are being shot down.
